The success of Hunter's Inn is partly due to its remote location in this quiet corner of Exmoor. The Inn offers a rare opportunity to escape from the stresses of urban life and relax in the countryside. Despite its rural location, Hunter's Inn is readily accessible, being close to the A39 and within a comfortable driving distance of the major towns of Minehead, Barnstaple, South Molton and Ilfracombe.

To welcome your guests, we offer a wide choice of wedding welcome drinks from our bar; from the traditional sherry, to wines, cava & Champagne, or alternatives such as Pimms or mulled wine.

the wedding ceremony

At Hunter's Inn we have two rooms licensed for wedding ceremonies; the Morning Room for a more intimate service for up to 20 guests, and the Ballroom with space for up to 75. If you want to marry in the church but don’t want to travel far, there are many local options close by including St Martin at Martinhoe - a Grade II listed building and only a few minutes away by car.

We can seat up to 75 for a wedding banquet or buffet in the Ballroom and can cater for more if you choose a marquee on the lawn. For something more intimate the Morning Room is ideal and can seat up to 20. We like to be flexible and creative so that your menu will truly reflect what you want. We also offer a wide range of wines, Prosecco & Champagne; both to accompany your meal and for toasts.

Four acres of landscaped grounds form a tranquil setting in which your guests can relax and are ideal for your wedding photography. Marquee weddings are very popular at Hunter's Inn, especially in the Summer, as they accommodate larger parties; contact us to arrange a visit and discuss your wedding at one of the most stunning locations in Exmoor and indeed, the West Country.


We can arrange all types of entertainment suitable for every part of your wedding ceremony and reception. From string quartets or your own CD/iPod music for the ceremony, to a theme for your welcome reception, a live band or a DJ for the evening, we can accommodate all types of music and entertainment equipment. We can also arrange for any additional entertainment whether for children or adults, such as a magician, comedian or casino.
